Alright, if you’re reading this, you’re either trying to get a blog on the Deeplayer site, or you’re frustrated with your blog on the Deeplayer site.
If it’s the former, you’ll need to get the OK from an admin. Simply clicking on the "Register" link on the main site should be enough to get the ball rolling. If not, PM nphillips or chuck_starchaser in the forums.
If it’s the latter, you’re looking in the right place.
When you log in to the main site, you should see a new menu appear in the left column, titled “User Menu”. This is where you get access to everything you need. Here’s a breakdown of the menu items. Each successive “outline point” will provide more information.
At this point, I am going to make an Important Note. Any time you are presented with the Apply/Save/Cancel buttons
Please make sure you click one of them to exit the page. Clicking off of a page while editing, or using the back button (an easy thing, and understandable to do) can lock content sections. This is a Good Thing™ and a Bad Thing™. It’s Good, because us admins can’t shuffle your things around while you’re using them. It’s Bad, because if you leave without saving, us admins can’t shuffle your things around, period. Yes, they time out and unlock after a while, but, I like to think of it as common courtesy – like turning off a light when you leave the room.

This is where you can configure all of your personal details, and link to your collection of blog and article posts. The top two “tabs” provide drop-down menus to several self-explanitory sections of details. If people get confused, I’ll add more about these places, but I seriously doubt it. The middle section shows your current avatar, as well as some tidbits about your profile. Again, self-explanitory. Below that are three (3) tabs which provide lists of your articles and blog posts. Oddly enough, they do not allow you to edit them directly. This is (in my opinion) a flaw in the Community Builder component, but, there’s not much I can do about it. Frankly, I don’t feel like delving into someone else’s code. |

This is where most of the magic happens. The first “screen” that is shown provides a few menu items, the ability to create a new entry, and tabs listing your blog posts in their various states. This is the “Manage Blog” page. Manage Blog
